For developers

Connect a form with one request

Every source gets a source API key. Send the visitor's name and phone number with that key, and Miaalo saves the contact into the key's sources.

POST /api/save-number saves a contact. The public key is safe in browser code because it can only add contacts.
POST /api/create-group creates a source and returns its key. It uses your private user key, server-side only.
JSON or form-encoded bodies, CORS enabled, 60 requests per minute per IP.
Indian mobile numbers. +91, 0 and spaces are cleaned up for you.

FAQ

Questions before you sign up

Do I need any technical knowledge?

No. Adding contacts, importing Excel files, filtering and exporting are all done with buttons and forms. You only need a developer if you want your website form to send contacts automatically.

What do I need to create an account?

Your name, an email address, a 10-digit Indian mobile number and a password. We send a verification link to your email, and you can start once you click it.

What is a "source"?

A named list that shows where contacts came from: a website form, a batch, an event, walk-ins. One person can be in several sources.

What happens if the same person enquires twice?

Contacts are matched by phone number. A repeat enquiry doesn't create a duplicate. The existing contact is added to the new source.

Can I bring in the contacts I already have?

Yes. Upload an Excel (.xlsx) file whose first row has the headings name, email and number.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Any source can be exported to an Excel file at any time.

Does Miaalo send SMS or WhatsApp to my contacts?

Bulk SMS, WhatsApp and email sending are not available in the current version. Miaalo is for collecting and organising contacts. Accounts with SMS switched on can send a single SMS while adding a contact.

Does it work with numbers outside India?

Yes. Miaalo can store every country's mobile numbers.

Is it safe to put the key in my website?

Yes. The source key can only add contacts to its own sources. Keep your private user key on your server only.
